Purpose
Both an item of furniture and a focal point for questioning, Love Me Tender seeks to make the body newly aware of its most ordinary gestures in the form of a bare skeleton of a chair whose apparent flaws constitute the crux of its design. On this chair, the body takes possession of a space and leaves its mark. Living becomes a small but very real attack, a way of marking one’s territory.
