Hide & Seek 2026

Client
MACRO Museo d’arte contemporanea Roma

Place
Rome, Italy

Material
Plasterboard on metal stud framing, plaster finish, paint.

Dimension
1135 m²

Purpose
Scenography of the exhibition “Ciò che mi guarda” by Miriam Cahn, curated by Cristiana Perrella.

The exhibition design takes the shape of two geometrical constructions of 3.5 m high. Each one is made of three 60 cm thick articulated cut-out blocks delimiting an enfolded area as well as passages and views. The constructions are conceived as two architectural folding screens at the scale of the monumental exhibition room of the museum. They invite the visitor into a game of hide and seek, at times becoming hanging walls, at times blank walls and echoing the title of the exhibition “Ciò che mi guarda”.
