La Roche sur Yon, France
Specificity
Potemkin architecture

Wood structure, plywood, epoxy paint
Dimension
3 x 3 x 4.9 m
Purpose
“Asswall” is a response to the ambiguous space of the museum: a public place for singular experiences. A means of escape, a hole in the wall, this impertinent parasite is not what it seems: a phoney architecture. By enabling visitors to take possession of a fragment of the museum, the exhibited object is no longer part of the architectural staging but the individual himself.
