The carpet, a 12m² grid of segmented triangles, is a means of adjusting the space. Connected to the theatre's fly system and controlled via an automated programme, segments of the surface could be raised and lowered, gnarling up to form the flat panels into complex three-dimensional arrangements. Yet use of the floor expands beyond being a mere means of influencing the choreography and instead entered directly into the performance.
