BAZAR DU GENRE
Le Bazar du genre is a collective exhibition. The scenography of this exhbition has been designed by Didier Fiuza Faustino.
The scenography of an exhibition focused on gender issues enters in conflict with the question of the gender of the architecture that hosts it : are spaces, in which we are living, gender related ?
The new pratices and representations of the gender that are exhibited tend to question the certainties and shared lines between female and male, not only in a reversal aspiration but mostly to reveal the invention of other possibilities.
Walls attempt to become the palisades of a little ongoing urbanism project, a castle "to conquer" with disturbing flags : "my belly belongs to me", "my prince will come". The normative grid that shapes the building falls appart and offers to the viewers some new paths to follow.
From the heart of the system, a rotation device invites us to lose ourselves in this fragile Babel of genders.
