The Palace of Alchemy takes place in the top floor artistic space of Graz Kunsthaus.

The existing blob architecture deals with a feeling of non linearity and desordonnancement, creating a feeling of unwritten desert space. Showing art pieces appear as an attempt from a creature to break through an ecosystem of formal complexity.

Palace of Alchemy is composed by six distinct islands of thinking and feeling from artist's Antje Majewski. Each of those parts put together objects, artistic work from other artists and Antje Majewski's own work into a personal relation. It introduces a feeling of proximity and proposes a path to understand her creation process detached from a more general context. The mind of the spectator will reassemble the separated experiences of each island and will put it together back again to obtain the general atmosphere of the exhibition.

Each islands are represented by a spiral, symbol of the path that leads to a point of a secret understanding: the place of alchemy.
